Whenever I read Luke 15 and spend time being refreshed by the love of the father that gets expressed as the father runs to and receives his son--a son who has wasted his inheritance in a lifestyle that is so very contrary to his father's character--I get, not only overwhelmed with the power and depth of the love, but I find myself being challenged to simply be a better son. Sometimes I feel as though most folks have never figured out that if we want to be strong men and women of God that we must first learn how to be good sons and daughters of God. For me, on a deep personal level, I have a passion to know what it means to be a son of the Most High God so that He can make me into the Man of God He desires for me to be.

One of awesome privileges of getting to know Jesus, in a personal relational way, is being able to watch His interaction with His Father. As we are able to do this, the Holy Spirit teaches us about being true sons and daughters of our Father God. It is a growing and learning dynamic that comes out of the relationship that enables us to become the strong men and women of God that we have been created to be. In this day, when we are facing so many challenges on a personal level, family and community levels, national and international levels, we need to dive into Jesus and pursue intimacy--true intimate knowledge of Him--so that we can turn and face this world (with all its issues) not as religious fanatics, not as heathen pretending to be Christian, not as luke-warm posers, but as real and passionate sons and daughters of our Father God.

This is why I invite folks to Liberty - because we are committed to being family and helping each other find their place in their Father's Heart and in His Family. The challenge is for all of us to grow together in Christ so that we can become His Family. Then He can take pleasure in and be glorified in us. If you are looking for a place where you can find family and be family, if you are hurting and need healing and nurturing, if you already know Jesus and are looking for a place to grow and serve--then I can, with a
glad heart, invite you to join us in this journey to our Father's Heart. In the words of Jesus, when calling His first disciples in the first chapter of John's Gospel, "come and see!"

Much Love In Jesus
John
